SP583

'Freehold' Jacket

$1,235 USD

The SP583 echoes the slim-fitting leathers that defined a generation of musicians in the late 1960s and early 1970s, jackets that looked just as much at home onstage as they did on the street. Cut from naked cowhide with a pointed collar and lapel, its patchwork front carries the handmade character that sets these pieces apart.

Hip length and close to the body, the SP583 captures the raw, rising energy of an artist on the verge of something bigger, a silhouette tied to moments when ambition and authenticity met under the bright lights. Inside, a polysatin lining keeps the fit smooth and easy.

The SP583 is proudly Made In The USA at our factory in Union, New Jersey.

An absolute masterpiece of craftsmanship and style!
I recently purchased this Schott peacoat, and I am completely blown away by it. Right out of the box, the leather is astonishingly soft and comfortable—so much so that I find myself wearing it almost every single day.

The design is incredible, featuring a cool, subtle nod to 70s vintage aesthetics that stands out without trying too hard. Inside, the satin lining adds another layer of luxury and features a fantastic custom design that shows just how much attention to detail Schott puts into their jackets.

I couldn't be happier with this purchase. If you're on the fence about getting one, do it you won't regret it!

Just received my SP583 back today from Schott after I had them shorten the sleeves a couple of inches. It now fits perfectly. I have a closet full of Schott jackets and I keep telling myself OK, this is the last one and then...
I wanted a hip length jacket and the 583 is exactly what I was looking for. It's the right length and has a tapered fit, I am 5'11"/215 and normally wear a 46 or XLarge. For the 583 I had to go to a XXlarge which fits perfectly but had to shorten the sleeves.
The leather has an incredible feel, different than my other Schott jackets, very nice. I am very impressed and pleased with the 583 and am looking forward to wearing it during the winter rainy season.

Beautiful jacket like I’ve been looking for for many years, I finally found it. I would normally order a medium but I’m glad I ordered a large which fits perfectly.

Love it!

Absolutely beautifully designed spring/fall coat. The leather is richly soft and the lining (not thermal for winter) has a stunning paisley pattern in it. This jacket runs form fitting, not quite snug but close to it. Size up if you like a roomy fit & buy it. I could not be happier with it & I'm very picky.

Amazing jacket that makes you look great

If you have a muscular build please note this jacket is VERY slim but that's the effect it has -- it's very slimming. I can't button the jacket (size 42, I'm 5'9 190) but it feels perfect in the shoulders and arms and I don't intend to button the jacket anyway. it looks ideal - at least in my opinion - even though it's too slim to button. perfect over a tshirt or light sweater. The leather is incredibly soft and molds to your body immediately - this is the softest cowhide I've ever seen.
